Graphene Wearable Electronics

Location:Home > Cooperation

Graphene is one of the fundamental components for wearable electronics due to its super high charge carrier mobility and mechanical flexibility. The versatile manufacturing methods of graphene make it integrable into wearable smart sensors in different ways. For example, the ink of conductive graphene can be printed onto stretchable substrates to connect highly-sensitive sensors and energy devices, which themselves could be made from graphene materials. Combining its unique physicochemical properties with advances in integrated nanoelectronics, cloud computing, internet of things and big data, graphene provides new opportunities in wearable batteries, remote sensing, point of care diagnosis and eHealth. Many disruptive technologies could be incubated from research projects in Graphene Wearable Electronics Division, which works in close cooperation with world-renowned universities and industry partners. It can be foreseen in the near future; sensors made from such new materials woven into our body or mounted on the skin, harvesting reams of data, transforming health care and creating an incredible amount of convenience in our daily lives.
